Growing up with the game

Some of us discover their passions later in life, but Zach’s connection to golf began almost as soon as he could stand.

At just 16 months old, he picked up his first club. By the age of 2, he was spending time on the driving range, and by 2½, he was walking the course, hitting balls with a focus and joy far beyond his years.

It didn’t take long for others to notice what his family already knew: Zach wasn’t just playing the game........he was living it.

A Remarkable Start

At 4 years old, Zach began competing. That same year, he became the youngest child in the UK ever offered a golf scholarship, an achievement that captured attention across the country. ITV News even visited his home to film a feature story, interviewing him indoors and on the custom putting green his family built by turning their entire garden into a personal golf oasis.

For Zach, practice didn’t stop when school ended. If he couldn’t get to the course, he walked into the garden and kept grinding, rain or shine, day after day.

Competing Across the World

Over the years, Zach has played in countless competitions, both in the UK and internationally. His talent has taken him to Dubai, Spain, and Florida, where he has competed against some of the best junior golfers from around the globe. Each event has shaped him, challenged him, and pushed him toward the higher levels he strives for.

Youngest on the Hampshire Golf Team

When Zach was 10, he earned a place on the Hampshire Golf Team, becoming the youngest player selected and immediately competing in the U14s. Representing Hampshire has given him opportunities to hone his competitive edge while learning from top-level coaches and teammates.

Aiming Higher: The Road Ahead

Now 14, Zach is more driven than ever. His goal for 2026 is ambitious: to compete in more tournaments than any year before. He is preparing for a packed and exciting schedule, ready to push his limits, sharpen his skills, and take another confident step toward the future he envisions.

Golf has been a part of Zach’s life from the very beginning. With every practice session, every competition, and every challenge, his passion only grows stronger. His journey is still just beginning, but the path ahead is bright, focused, and full of possibility.
